Patrington AFC

About the club

Re-formed in 2011, football in Patrington is entering its strongest era yet, with the club continuing to grow year on year.

For the 2025–26 season, we operate a full youth pathway, fielding teams at Under 16s, Under 14s, Under 12s, Under 11s, Under 10s, two Under 9s sides, Under 8s and Under 7s, alongside structured development sessions for Under 6s and Under 5s. This pathway reflects our commitment to player development from the earliest ages through to senior football.

With ambitious plans for the 2026–27 season, including entering a team into the newly FA endorsed 3v3 format, the launch of an Open Age team and a refreshed club identity, the club is focused on building a strong, sustainable future and raising standards both on and off the pitch.

Club Ethos

Our club ethos is a written declaration that sets out how we want to run as a club. It’s simple and concise and can be understood by players, parents and officials.

  • To provide football to children of all ages and abilities, in a safe, friendly and enjoyable environment.
  • To deliver age-appropriate coaching to support long-term player development.
  • No heading practice to be carried out with any player under 11s and below
  • To offer a challenging but supportive environment where children can learn from their mistakes without undue pressure or anxiety.
  • To encourage all players to try their best and make the most of their abilities. Core values of hard work, honesty, togetherness and striving to be the best to be demonstrated at all times.
  • To promote good behaviour and respect for others through our Team Officials (Coaches)/Player/Spectator Codes of Conduct.
  • We do not support winning at all costs. Fair play rules respected.
