After Littlehampton United had won 3 out of 3 from their opening games of the season and Bosham picking up 3 valuable points in a thrilling 4-3 victory v Worthing Town on Saturday this had all the ingredients to provide a tasty bank holiday encounter

As the later kick off within the league schedule, 3 points was crucial for both sides to ensure positive league starts were maintained

The match started evenly with both teams finding their rhythm with end to end attacks however neither team looked to test their opposing keepers, however after 19 minutes it was the home team that broke the deadlock after the hardworking Josh Casey broke up the play to free Craig Rennie on the left who put the ball into feet of the veteran striker Terry Dodd, from there Dodds went solo and produced a moment of masterclass to emphatically lob the Bosham keeper from 20Yards to put LUFC 1-0 up. With the introduction of Milner and a reshuffle of formations for the home side both teams looked to apply the pressure however at the interval it was the home team that went in with a slender one goal advantage.
